Every classroom in the HEC is equipped with a Podium for instructional use. The Podium operates the overhead projector, document camera, VCR, DVD/CD player, etc. All with just a touch of a button, faculty have access to the technology they need in class. There is IT support dedicated to the HEC. The IT office is located on the first floor of the HEC in Room 114. If you have an issue with your faculty log in at the HEC, please call the SOU help desk at 552-6900. If you need immediate assistance, please call IT in the HEC at 618-5463.
We have taken several steps to provide a safe working and learning environment for those at the HEC. Security cameras and an alarm system are installed. Security personnel patrol the building from 7 am - 11 pm on Monday through Thursday and 7 am - 6 pm on Friday and Saturday. If you have security concerns, please call 941-8699.
RCC Facilities takes care of the day-to-day maintenance and the custodial contract for the HEC building. If you have needs or concerns regarding facilities, please call 218-2931.
